Women Empowerment
Empowering Women, Transforming Communities
At Delta Forum Society, we believe every woman — at every age — deserves the opportunity to learn, lead, and thrive. From young girls to women over 50, our programs create pathways to skills, confidence, and independence.
THE CHALLENGE
Across our communities, women still face barriers to education, employment, healthcare, and decision-making. Older women often face these barriers the longest — yet they carry decades of wisdom, resilience, and untapped potential.
When women are empowered at any age, families grow stronger, economies flourish, and societies become more just.

MANISHA’S STORY
“I thought my time had passed. I was wrong.”
Manisha, 52 — Delta Forum Society Member
For years, Manisha believed that at 50+, her chance to learn something new had slipped away. She had spent her life caring for her family — raising children, managing the home, supporting her husband’s work. When her children grew up and moved away, she felt a quiet emptiness she couldn’t name.
Then a neighbour invited her to a Delta Forum Society skill workshop. She hesitated. “What will I do there? I’m too old to start again.”
She went anyway. And everything changed.
Today, Manisha runs a small tailoring business from home. She earns her own income, manages her own savings, and has joined a local Self-Help Group where she mentors younger women.
“I used to wait for someone to ask my opinion. Now I speak first. My children call me for advice. I feel — for the first time in my life — that I am in charge of my own story.”
Her advice to other women: “Don’t count the years you’ve lived. Count the years you still have. Then start.”
OUR IMPACT
Women trained so far: 50+
Our goal: 170 women trained
50 women have already changed their stories. 120 more are waiting for their chance.
Join us in reaching 170.
JOIN US IN TRAINING 170 WOMEN
We started with a simple idea: every woman deserves a chance.
Fifty women have already completed our programs. They learned tailoring, computer skills, communication, and business basics. Some started small businesses. Others joined Self-Help Groups. All of them gained something no one can take away — confidence.
But we’re not done.
There are 120 more women waiting. Our goal is to train 170.
Why 170? Because each one represents a family that grows stronger. A community that becomes more just. A future that becomes more equal.
